Experience Makes the Difference...Experien

Experien Health Sciences and Experien Chemical Services are uniquely positioned and qualified to help companies respond to all aspects of Europe’s REACH regulation. We hope you will allow us the opportunity to submit a proposal to provide REACH services to your business.

Are you ready for REACH Regulation?

The final version of REACH was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (volume L 396, pages 1- 849) on 30 December 2006. The legislation, now known officially as Regulation No. 1907/2006, entered into force on 1 June 2007.

  • What Exporters Need to Know. Companies who export chemicals, mixtures, and articles containing certain substances to customers in the EU must also take action in order to avoid business disruption.
  • A Deadline You Don’t Want to Miss. One key requirement of the regulation is an obligation to “pre-register” the chemical substances that make up your products. This must be completed between June 1, 2008 and December 1, 2008 in order to take advantage of special transitional arrangements (or “phase-in” period) for chemicals currently on the EU market.
  • Other Deadlines. The strict deadline for completion of the first round of registrations is 30 November 2010. This deadline applies to companies that have pre-registered substances that are produced in high volumes and/or substances of very high concern.

Companies need to understand the impact of REACH on their product portfolio and be prepared to respond to questions about REACH from their EU customers.

Our Capabilities

Experien Health Sciences and Experien Chemical Services are uniquely positioned and qualified to help companies respond to all aspects of Europe’s REACH regulation. We have technically qualified, experienced personnel in the US and in Europe with the expertise to help you understand the potential impact of REACH on your business and to help you plan accordingly. Because REACH applies to existing substances as well as new substances, and because it places the burden on manufacturers, importers and users to demonstrate that products do not adversely affect human health or the environment, this is something you can’t afford to get wrong. Remember: no registration, no market. For more on our REACH capabilities, click the following link: REACH Capabilities Brochure.

We employ experienced staff, each with generally 20 years or more knowledge gained while working on international chemical control initiatives (EU, US, OECD) for industrial clients. Our staff includes PhD- and Masters-level toxicologists, chemists and Certified industrial hygienists, and access to other independent contractors who can provide specialized expertise when needed for a project.
